Occasionally oil, grease, and other materials may form deposits on the inside of the Sludge Judge®. The 6 ft. （1.82 m） aluminum cleaning rod used with cotton strips, mild detergent, and warm water will help remove the debris so the tubing will stay clear, providing accurate sludge readings. The end of the rod has a slot to hold the cleaning strip in place. Disassemble the unit and clean each section separay. Does not include cotton cleaning strips.
