泽仑诺是一种合成的有雌激素活性的促生长剂，用作饲料添加剂，是美国FDA批准的家畜促生长剂之一。易在畜产品中残留危害人类健康，1998年欧盟等国家已明确禁止其在动物体内的应用，我国农业部也与2002将其列为违禁药物，明确规定泽伦诺，玉米赤霉醇禁止用于所有食用动物，在所有食用组织不得检出。

Kernel® Zeranol ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of zeranol in cereals, dried meat, fish, feed, milk, urine and seed. Zeranol (α-Zearalanol) is a non-steroidal estrogen agonist. It is a mycotoxin, derived from fungi in the Fusarium family, and may be found as a contaminant in fungus-infected crops. It is 3-4 fold more potent as an estrogen agonist than the related compounds. Zeranol is approved for use as a growth promoter in livestock, including beef cattle, in the United States. However, its application is not approved for use in the European Union or Canada.
